Terms & Conditions for Award Participants

Who can apply?

  • Already established startups or SMEs (entry in the commercial register)
  • Stage between new founding and Series B
  • Assignment to one of the defined categories Automated Disassembly or Critical Raw Materials Recovery
  • The startup or SME offers circular solutions for industrial goods or is willing to develop them

 

Application Period & Deadline

  • Award ceremony: May 6, 2026, at IFAT, 05:30 PM

     

Costs & Fees

Participation in the Circular Entrepreneurship Award is free of charge. No fees will be charged.

Any costs incurred by finalists for travel to and from the IFAT in Munich, as well as accommodation, will not be covered.

 

Obligations for finalists

Nomination as one of the finalists requires the creation of a short company profile to present the start-up on this website, as well as the personal participation of at least one member of the founding team at the award ceremony at IFAT on May 6, 2026, in Munich. Failure to participate will result in disqualification. Any costs incurred will not be covered. 

 

Exclusion

Knorr-Bremse and UnternehmerTUM reserve the right to exclude submissions that are deemed unsuitable or do not meet the application criteria. 

 

Data usage  

By completing the company information and submitting the application, the participating company agrees to the application process and consents to the use of the submitted data in the application process.

 

By submitting the application, the participating company agrees

...that Knorr-Bremse, UnternehmerTUM, and the members of the jury may review and evaluate the submitted content,

...that Knorr-Bremse and UnternehmerTUM publish the company's participation in a short presentation including images and logo and incorporate it into further advertising measures.

 

The participating company grants Knorr-Bremse, UnternehmerTUM, and the jury the necessary rights of use.

 

Liability & legal recourse

UnternehmerTUM accepts no liability for the loss or incompleteness of data transmitted by the participating company. This also applies to the disclosure of information by third parties as a result of technical errors in data transmission and/or unauthorized access.

Legal recourse is excluded.
